Start a cause to support victims of domestic violence
Finland is Europe’s second most violent country for women. With the coronavirus epidemic, the financial situation of many families is tightening, causing stress and anxiety. Unfortunately, at the same time, violent behavior may increase.
In many cases, victims of domestic violence have to leave their homes quickly, taking with them only the essentials. Safety homes provide assistance to the victim, but in many cases the victim may need immediate financial assistance, especially if the partner has also controlled the victim financially. Finland has mainly a good social security system, but it is unnecessarily slow and bureaucratic for the acute need of money for victims of violence.

In March 2020, the new fundraising act came into force. The new act allows small-scale fundraising, meaning that group of minimum of 3 persons (Finnish citizens) are able to arrange a money collecting twice per year, each collection can be worth of EUR10,000 max.

Pienkeräys perheväkivallan uhrien auttamiseksi
Suomi on Euroopan toiseksi väkivaltaisin maa naisille. Koronavirusepidemian myötä monen perheen taloudellinen tilanne kiristyi aiheuttaen stressiä ja huolta. Samalla valitettavasti myös väkivaltainen käytös lisääntyy.
Monesti perheväkivallan uhri joutuu lähtemään kotoaan nopeasti, jolloin mukaan ehtii ottaa vain välttämättömimmät tavarat. Turvakodit tarjoavat uhrille apua, mutta monessa tapauksessa uhri saattaa olla nopean taloudellisen avun tarpeessa, etenkin jos kumppani on kontrolloinut myös taloudellisesti. Suomessa on pääosin hyvä sosiaaliturvajärjestelmä, mutta akuuttiin rahan tarpeeseen väkivallan uhreille se on turhan hidas ja byrokraattinen.

Maaliskuussa 2020 tuli voimaan uusi rahankeräyslaki. Tämä uusi laki mahdollistaa pienkeräykset. Kolmen hengen ryhmä (Suomen kansalaisia) voi järjestää rahankeräyksen kahdesti vuodessa, kerätty summa saa olla enintään 10,000 euroa kerralla.
